Climate change, rising temperatures, pollution, deforestation, and the loss of green spaces are among the challenges affecting communities across Pakistan.
These challenges remind us that environmental protection cannot be the responsibility of governments alone. It requires participation from communities, educational institutions, organizations, businesses, and individuals.
A tree may appear to be a small contribution, but its impact can last for generations.
Trees provide shade, improve air quality, support biodiversity, help protect soil, and contribute to healthier communities. More importantly, plantation campaigns provide an opportunity to educate people—especially young people—about their responsibility toward the environment.
Umeed Pakistan believes that environmental action should go beyond simply planting trees. A successful plantation initiative should also focus on protecting, caring for, and monitoring trees after plantation.
With this vision, Umeed Pakistan is developing the Green Pakistan Mission 2030, with the goal of planting 1 million trees by 2030.
The mission aims to engage volunteers, students, educational institutions, communities, and partners in creating greener spaces and promoting environmental responsibility.
The journey toward a greener Pakistan will not be completed by one organization alone. It requires collective action.
